How it works

Tickets are sold through Zeffy, our secure online ticketing platform. Each ticket is assigned a number. On the announced draw date, a winner is selected by random drawing — conducted publicly and announced on NWSA PTO social media. You do not need to be present to win.

Where your money goes

Every dollar raised through our raffles goes directly back to NWSA students, staff, and the school community. Funds support:

  • Per-class student events (Examples: Welcome Social, Sophomore Spotlight, Junior Prep Night, Senior Sendoff)
  • Teacher & staff appreciation (Holiday Luncheon, Teacher Appreciation Week, End of Year Luncheon)
  • The Dragon Fund — annual gift to the school voted on by the NWSA community
  • Dragon Preview Night for prospective students and families
  • Academic Support
  • PTO operations and pop-up school needs

No less than 90% of net raffle proceeds are used for nonprofit purposes per NC GS § 14-309.15(f).

Official raffle rules

The following rules apply to all NWSA PTO raffles and are included on every Zeffy ticket listing.

Conducting organization

This raffle is conducted by the Northwest School of the Arts PTO (“NWSA PTO”), a nonprofit organization, in compliance with North Carolina General Statute § 14-309.15. A raffle conducted under this statute is not gambling under NC law.

Eligibility

Open to all participants 18 years of age or older. Employees, board members, and immediate family members of NWSA PTO officers are not eligible to win.

Ticket pricing & limit

Ticket price and maximum ticket limit are specified on each individual raffle listing. The raffle closes on the announced date or when all tickets are sold, whichever comes first. No purchases are accepted after the raffle closes.

Prize

The prize for each raffle is described on the individual listing. No substitution of prizes is permitted except at the sole discretion of NWSA PTO. Prize has no cash value unless stated as a cash prize.

Winner selection

The winner is selected by random drawing on the announced draw date. The drawing is conducted publicly and the winner is announced on NWSA PTO social media channels.

Winner notification & response requirement

The winner will be contacted using the information provided at ticket purchase. The winner must respond within 14 days of notification to claim the prize. If the winner cannot be reached or does not respond within 14 days, NWSA PTO reserves the right to draw an alternate winner.

Prize delivery & payment timeline

Cash prizes will be delivered within 30 days of the draw date by check payable to the winner, or by a mutually agreed electronic method. Merchandise prizes will be arranged for pickup or delivery within 30 days of the draw date. NWSA PTO is an all-volunteer organization — school breaks, holidays, and scheduling may affect delivery timing within the 30-day window. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

No refunds

All ticket sales are final. No refunds will be issued after purchase.

Use of proceeds

Net proceeds support NWSA PTO programs including student events, teacher appreciation, the Dragon Fund annual campus gift, and other nonprofit purposes benefiting Northwest School of the Arts. No less than 90% of net proceeds are used for these purposes per NC GS § 14-309.15(f).
