Adopt a Senior

Attention all Northwest School of the Arts Families and Friends!

Presenting:  The Class of 2023 Adopt a Senior Program

Back by popular demand, it’s time for our Dragon families to celebrate and show our love to the Class of 2023 NWSA Seniors in our new annual tradition of recognizing and appreciating our Seniors!  

Who:  This event is open to anyone (middle school and high school parents, fellow students, friends, grandparents, teachers, staff) interested in “adopting” a 2023 NWSA Senior 

What:  The Adopt a Senior Program is where a person “adopts” a 2023 NWSA Senior and provides them with their favorite things (taken from their senior survey). Typical items include: t-shirt and/or sweatshirt (think future college), Tervis Tumbler, water bottle, coffee mug, baseball cap, pennant, sports items, gift cards, snacks, blankets, anything you think the senior would like and enjoy based on their survey answers.  Place all items in a basket, tote bag, shower caddy, bin, unique container or laundry basket and bring to the event in mid-May.  BE CREATIVE!!! AND HAVE FUN WITH IT!!!  If you find yourself struggling for ideas, please reach out to us so we can help (we may have fillers and items that can complete your gift bag/basket. If you can’t adopt a senior at this time but are interested in donating money, time, gift cards, gifts (handmade or unique), snacks, items of any sort (blankets, extra items from an occasion) or general supplies, please send in these items to the front office on or before May 1, 2023. 

When:  Mid-May (a specific date will be announced by April 30, 2023)

Where:  Northwest School of The Arts (we will announce location by April 30, 2023)

Interested??  Here’s What to do: 

• Beginning March 1 and ending March 29, 2023, email the Adopt a Senior mailbox at nwsa.adoptasenior@gmail.com with your interest in “adopting” one or more senior students.  Please include in your e-mail (i) the number of seniors you would like to adopt, (ii) the name(s) of any specific senior(s) that you would like to adopt (you may want to include several names, in case your first choice has already been adopted), and/or (iii) if you’d like to be assigned a senior that you don’t know.   
• Once a match has been made, you will receive an e-mail with a screen shot picture of the Senior’s favorite things from their survey.
• Go shopping and get items for your adopted Senior(s) and get their goodies together before mid-May!!
• Attend the event in mid-May to give your adopted Senior their goodies and best wishes for their future(s).

*Seniors will be available on a first come, first serve basis, so please email early!  All Seniors will be adopted by April 1.

**All senior assignments will be kept private unless or until you or your senior reveal the information publicly.
